I've been interested in photography from a young age but getting an old SLR SRT303b Minolta for my birthday in my late teens, from my parents got me seriously into taking photos. I studied Visual Arts at university (along with Social Anthropology) and learnt more about taking photos, composition, lighting, printing during my course. Since this time I've carried on taking evening classes on b/w printing, portraiture, being creative with photography etc. I really enjoy taking images of lansdscapes, cityscapes, night shots and themed projects and anything else that catches my eye. I am part of two photography groups. Creative i is more focused on putting on exhibitions at local cafes in Wellington and the other is more social - we meet up, have some laughs, do group projects and go away on trips together. My boyfriend Gus is also into photography (we met in the darkroom!) and has helped me take my photography to a new level. Going on trips together, taking photos (including early morning starts to catch that magical sunrise light) and hanging out is something wonderful that we can share together.
